It’s not unusual for our clients to present us with architectural pieces that have remarkable provenance. When the pieces are authentic, we welcome incorporating them into the project to make the overall look even more distinctive. While working on a home built by Sebastion Construction Group, architecture by Don Caperton, we were given these magnificent gates and fountain (in the background) both of which were purchased in France. The age is not known for certain, but the patina suggested it was at least one hundred years old. We handled the restoration, preparation, and installation of both the gates and fountain. A special note on the driveway: it was important that the stone visually compliment the lovely, aged quality of the provided architectural pieces. We specified a White Texas Lueders Limestone that was tumbled and laid cobblestone style. The end result was a visually seamless blend of both the classic and the contemporary.

As soon as we were presented with this project, we knew we were facing underlying issues related to drainage. The condition of the creek was grim. Mostly a muddy, murky mess. We excavated the creek where the bridge would be built because the creek was full of debris and other obstacles that had to be removed before we could begin. Once completed, the creek now full of fish, water flowing and draining properly, we were clear to build the bridge. Designed and constructed by our architects, the bridge was beautiful, secure and inviting. The perfect passageway for family and friends to escape to a peaceful hideaway in the forest.
